Radiant Health Low EMF Infrared Sauna

A traditional sauna works by heating the air inside a closed room using a conventional heater. Infrared saunas work differently. Instead of using a heat source, this technology uses invisible light rays to warm your body directly, instead of heating the air around you. This results in a cooler sauna experience (between 120- and 140-degrees Fahrenheit) than a conventional sauna (which can be close to 200 degrees Fahrenheit). In an infrared sauna, 80 percent of the energy used goes to heating the skin with the remaining 20 percent heating the air. This, in turn, warms the body more efficiently at lower temperatures with warm and dry heat, making it more accessible to people who cannot tolerate the excessive heat and humidity seen in a traditional sauna.

What’s Low EMF?

Electromagnetic fields (EMF) can be emitted from many forms of technology, such as power lines, home wiring, airport and military radar, substations, transformers, and many appliances. If received in significant doses, EMF can damage cells in a way that can potentially cause significant health problems. Radiant Health Saunas have been used by a variety of medical doctors, naturopaths, massage therapists, homeopaths, herbalists, acupuncturists, chiropractors, and other specialists since 1997. As awareness of the potential effects of EMF has grown, Radiant Health Saunas have brought EMF levels to a very low level (exceeding Swedish Standards) – averaging 0.3 milligauss at point of body contact. They have also brought the Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) Electrical Field (EF) levels below Swedish standards as well, so that one can enjoy a healthy infrared experience.

Infrared wavelengths provide many specific health benefits for those who use this form of therapy regularly.

Not only do saunas relax the muscles with heat, they calm the mind as well. Many people have found that it helps with sleep, detoxification, joint pain and circulation! While using a sauna regularly has many proven health benefits, the use of an infrared sauna promises even more wellness advantages.

Your session:

Before your session, make sure to hydrate and wear lose fitting clothing. Bring a water bottle with you, to stay hydrated as you relax in the warmth and rid your body of toxins.

Towels will be provided, as well as a cold Eucalyptus towel when you are finished, to freshen up. If your sauna session is 30 minutes, the standard temperature in the sauna will be between 115-130 degrees. If your sauna session is 60 minutes, the temperature may be closer to 115-120. You may raise or lower the temperature as you wish. 115 degrees is the benchmark for seeing the benefits of the Infrared Sauna.

-It may take the first 15 minutes of your session to begin to sweat as the body adjusts to the temperature. This is normal. The sauna will beep when your time has ended. Afterward, use the refreshing Eucalyptus towel, and deposit all towels used into the designated area. There are other personal products available for you to use in the hospitality basket in the restroom, if you’d like.

Enjoy your sauna experience!
